Creation, revision, and management of computer-assisted and/or manual drawings designed to meet the demands of the client or for internal consumption. Assist with administrative tasks related to graphics design work as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to take manufacturer's drawings (parts, assemblies, and arrangements) and be able to produce CAD drawings of those parts, assemblies, and arrangements, wholly or in part, with complete accuracy. Must be able to read drawings accurately.

Must be able to design (under supervision of attendant engineers) additional parts, and develop additional assembly and arrangement drawings that are in conjunction with manufacturer's original drawings, to effect modifications to, or new construction of, the rail vehicles or other mechanisms that are the subject of a project.

Must be able to apply the directions of SET's or client's CAD standards to provide orderly drawing numbering and organization to the drawings developed for a project.

Must be able to produce an organized and accurate Bill Of Material for a project, following SET or client guidelines.

Must be able to produce drawings, BOMs, etc., accurately and consistently with a minimum of instances needing rework.

Must closely coordinate with Project Engineer on project details to ensure accurate and timely work.

Must be able to make oral and graphic presentations of project work at weekly engineering meetings, or to customers on demand as needed.

Must maintain surveillance of engineering copiers, plotters, laser printers, and other output devices to keep them loaded with appropriate consumables, operating properly, and to ensure that consumable supplies do not run out.

Must be able to demonstrate a mastery of not only CAD principles and techniques, but basic graphics design principles and techniques as well.

Must be able to develop sections and views of any item presented, and must be able to properly orient the sections and views so developed in any drawing.

Must be able to properly and concisely dimension all drawings.

Must keep accurate and timely time logs of project and non-project activities.

Must make efficient use of all available equipment and software that Graphic Designers are authorized to use at SET.

Professional conduct is required at all times, while at the office, while traveling, or on site at a client's facility.

Must make an ongoing effort to increase understanding and knowledge of railroad and other job-related vehicles and equipment.

Must become thoroughly familiar with SET's CAD Standards. Must accurately and consistently apply those standards in daily work, and be vigilant in determining areas where those standards can be or need to be improved.

Must perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Associate of Arts in graphics design technology or a minimum of two years practical graphics design experience, or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of SET graphics design test prior to employment. Experience with AutoDesk Inventor is required.
