Responsibilities include developing, executing, and enhancing the marketing and sales efforts for the Technologies division of Starfire.

This position reports directly to the Vice President and interacts directly with various company personnel. Researches, networks and establish of new industry contacts and prospective clients, drives product and services sales and marketing activities, maintains existing contacts and clients. Work to define and maintain Starfire business partner relationships and programs. Candidates must have a desire and willingness to assist the team and work with clients to create opportunities to deploy our cutting-edge, multi-platform enterprise system administration solution. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct calling, meeting, and presenting of Starfire product and service offerings to sell to customers.
  • Research, define and execute the sales and marketing efforts of the Technologies division under the direction of the Vice President.
  • Research, define and execute the marketing and sales of Starfire products.
  • Drive products and services revenues to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
  • Develop and maintain vendor and client relationships.
  • Develop marketing and sales collateral for marketing and sales activities.
  • Responsible for Technologies customer relationship management.
  • Research, define and drive Starfire business partner program.
  • Make ongoing contact with clients, vendors, suppliers, and others as necessary to promote new and additional business for Starfire, and to assist with project requirements as necessary.
  • Arrange the necessary contacts and travel to further the sales and marketing effort for the company.
  • Research, define and assist in the execution of a Corporate Marketing Plan in coordination with the principles approved by management. Research and define specific markets that will be pursued by the company. Determine careful appraisal of the likely market opportunities for the company.
  • Pursue and develop all applicable areas of work that are within the company's capabilities. Pursue additional areas of work, in concert with corporate plans, to enable the company to diversify its fields of service and operations.
  • Interface with team members from all departments to stay apprised of work in progress. Maintain a continuing relationship with clients during the course and after the completion of project work and product sales.
  • Utilize computerized techniques to estimate, lay out, and execute marketing requirements on a regular basis as agreed upon with the Vice President. Provide reports to Vice President, and others on status of marketing efforts, costs, and other details as needed. Define and develop sales and marketing strategies and routines that will enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and completeness of the position's and team's activities.
  • Develop objectives and goals and comprehensive sales and marketing plans. Assist with development of goals of other departments. Research and direct the development of leads from various sources suitable to the target markets. Assist in research and preparation of sales presentations. Keep abreast of all aspects of the assigned business areas. Direct the preparation and execution of sales and marketing surveys as needed.
  • Work in synchronization with the Director of Projects on availability and time allocation of team resources.
  • Participate in team projects and activities.
  • Work in close coordination with appropriate departmental personnel to develop and deliver estimates and proposals that are accurate and attractive to the clients to whom directed.
  • Log all activities and information daily and completely with details.
  • Assist with development and execution of sales efforts at exhibits, expositions, etc., utilizing company display equipment, personnel, and resources.
  • Stay current on industry, product and technology changes.
  • Be willing to take on new projects and ready to invest time and energy to meet challenges head on.
  • Be willing to learn new techniques, etc., and to assist others with the new knowledge in an effort to continually refine and improve marketing and sales approaches and procedures.
  • Attend appropriate SET meetings.
  • Perform other duties as specified by supervisor.

No supervisory responsibilities.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

No budget responsibility.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Degree or equivalent experience. Current industry knowledge with operating systems and application server systems. Starfire will work with the right candidate to develop their skills if some areas are weak but an accelerated learning curve will be required. Customer service experience and organizational skills are an absolute must. Customer prospecting and relationship development and management is key to the success of this position. You need to be positive, enterprising, capable of self-direction, an independent thinker, and have a willing attitude. The ability to "think out of your box", while investing your time and energy to tackle new projects, meet challenges head on, willingness to learn new techniques, and teach to others are all key qualities we require in our team members.
